Chef Vanessa Bathfield was born on the exotic tropical island of Mauritius and grew up in the ideal tranquility of New Zealand. She has been blessed to travel throughout Europe, Asia and Australasia enjoying different cultures and foods from all of the world.
After 12 years in the media industry, Vanessa’s passion for food and all things culinary finally won her over. Vanessa is a graduate of the Epicurean School of Culinary Arts. Her culinary education includes classes in Paris and London expanding her repertoire.
“I was raised by my mother and grandmother. My mother worked full time to take care of my sister and me. Cooking, for her, was more of a chore after an exhausting day at work but we always spent time together around the dinner table and this time was special to me. I want to allow mothers and families to be free to spend more time together.”
